About Bnl-scc-l	English (USA)
The BNL Social and Cultural Club endeavors to build closer community ties between Brookhaven National Laboratory and its neighbors. It promotes, supports and encourages activities for social interaction between BNL employees and the surrounding community through dance socials & lessons, ethnic food parties, outdoor picnics and barbecues, field trips, karaoke sessions, and other social and cultural activities. The Club holds weekly (Fridays) dance socials and workshops at the North Ballroom, Brookhaven Center, Brookhaven National Laboratory, featuring different professional dance instructors in Long Island and NYC. Dance music starts at 6:30pm; dance lessons usually run for 2 hours, from 7:00 to 9 pm, and then general dancing from 9 to 11 pm.
