I've spoken with our contacts, and it sounds like no improvement to this
is possible at this time.  If you do want to create a new account, just
apply to ATLAS Connect as you did before and we'll work things out.  I
can manually connect the new ID to your old home directory, etc. and you
should not much notice the difference.  But I can't help with the first
step - you'd need to do it yourself.

Note that if your hbawa AT csufresno.edu ID in CILogin/InCommon
is currently linked to your ATLAS Connect ID, you will
need to unlink it BEFORE creating a new ID.  Visit
https://portal.usatlas.org/account/ManageIdentities . If you see
"InCommon / CILogon linked at sign in - OAuth - cilogon.org", then click
the triangle at the right edge of the screen, then "Delete".  Then you
can create your new ID using CILogon.
