we have been all struggling with the perspective of the old IP-6 plot (CDR figure 1.3) as it is from the ring inside to the outside laying on your back.

Thanks to Jarda’s and Zhengqiao’s help, I can attach a new plot, which is has a view of the IR from the ring outside to the inside and from the top. 

The coordinate system is right handed and uses  +z in hadron beam direction, +x to the ring inside and +y to the top. This is also consistent with the lattice plots Holger showed last Friday on page 5 and 6 in his presentation https://brookhavenlab.sharepoint.com/:b:/s/eRHIC/bnl&slac/Ear7T4maSzFDiwOncRb6nfwB7oXAoiFRPRUjJKHBmd8i4g?e=MiStrr

As we updated Holger’s original script we can generate also plots with a larger +/- z coverage if needed.

It would be very nice we could from now on stick to this view and coordinate system as this is also what the EIC proto-collaborations will use 

and it is consistent with our overall EIC layout picture (CDR 1.1)
