Dear ECCE Enthusiasts,

This is a reminder that we will have an ECCE Simulations workshop tomorrow, April 2nd. The indico page for the workshop can be found at the following link:

https://indico.bnl.gov/event/11112/

We look forward to hearing from everyone and getting started on simulations for the ECCE proposal. The workshop will be organized in a talk plus question and answer format, so to best utilize the time we have prepared a list of tutorial information to get set up for running simulations. Please take a look at the tutorials and give them a try so that you are set up to run the simulations. In the event that you get stuck or find that you have questions while looking through these tutorials, tomorrow would be a great opportunity to ask them and discuss with the speakers.

To run simulations, you must either have an RACF/SDCC account at BNL already OR you can run the Singularity container natively on your own computer. Please find the instructions for setting up the container at the following link:

https://github.com/ECCE-EIC/Singularity

Once you are set up with the container or on your RACF/SDCC account, Chris Pinkenburg has already discussed a software tutorial from last year in preparation for the Yellow Report process. Please find it at the following link, which contains a lot of useful information regarding the software:

Additionally, there are some recorded tutorials for sPHENIX at the following link, which (although the tutorials were aimed at sPHENIX) are still generically useful for learning the Fun4All software framework:

Thank you,

Joe Osborn for the Computing and Simulations teams
