Dear Diffractive & Tagging, and Exclusive Enthusiasts:
This is a quick message to let you know that the realistic B0 detector simulation is now included in the Fun4all detector package and macros. Thanks to Sasha Bylinkin for this brilliant contribution.
In summary, we know have three configurations you can run:
1. Realistic B0: include four layers of trackers with cooling (Cu) plates and a calorimeter inside of the B0 magnet.
2. Disk hit plane: 300um thick silicon plane (virtual plane) to help with occupancy study.
3. Pacman hit plane: hit planes with the real detector geometrical shape (300um thick silicon planes or virtual planes). These planes have the intended Pacman shape, to avoid beam path interaction.
Option #3 is the default in the fun4all macros, and there are switches to turn options #1 and #2 on. For most studies, the default option #3 is the best option.
In addition, the default macro now also has a detector plane to capture the scattered e at high eta (up to 6.5). For those of you who are interested in measurements near-real photon point (ultra-low Q2) you can now access the hit and truth information of these scattered electrons.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the discussed items.
Many thanks
Bill
