Dear All,

This year’s New York Scientific Data Summit (NYSDS) will have a special 
*workshop on Challenges and Opportunities in Autonomous Scientific 
Facilities*, which may be of interest to many of you. The workshop will 
cover selected topics in machine learning, uncertainty quantification 
and computational challenges in detectors, sensors, accelerators, and 
observational instruments. Progress in autonomous systems from the 
industry will also be discussed. It will consist of invited 
presentations, a panel discussion with the speakers, and poster 
presentations.

The agenda covers all the presentations in NYSDS2021, including the 
workshop, which is to be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, the last day 
of NYSDS2021.

The deadline for registration is this *Thursday, October 21, 2021*. 
There is NO registration fee but registration is required for 
participation, so you can be granted access to the presentations, 
posters and the exhibits via the vFairs platform.
