  Sure this is a good idea, especially for subsystems which may require further consideration (light monitoring, temperature control). 

  Alex, can we come up with a generic insert type (or types), and place them strategically on the sensor plate and in other places?

Dear all,

I wanted to add my one cent yesterday but got a bit distracted and forgot.

My comment is about the Inserts for various services like gas, temp. sensor, fiber optics etc. on the HRPPD support plane.

The strategy we used in the past for TPC was: Put NPT inserts as many as we can accommodate and plug them off, in case we don't need them. This gives flexibility to incorporate any unwanted need which might come.

In pfRICH case we can decide to put say 6 or 12.

I might be confused between prototype and real, if that's not the case already.
