This should be fine for our purposes, I think. You're already pouring resources into this, no need to learn an entire new class if this approach is right-ish.

I tried a different approach, where I printed the number of particles that fall into each bin (so not dividing by the total number of truth particles per row), with their sqrt(N) errors, like in the screenshot attached. I guess this can give us a rough estimate of the relative uncertainty of the LUT that I showed last Monday. Do you think this is fine? Or should I still try to look into rigorously propagating the errors with TEfficiency?

Well, it's not trivial. I turned on Sumw2, and I added "error" to the draw command, but the problem is that these histos are generated using
h[pbin][tbin][phibin]->SetBinContent(1, 4, fee[pbin][tbin][phibin]);
I.e., there's no error propagation.

Fixing that will require a bit of work and maths. I found this class which may help, https://root.cern.ch/doc/master/classTEfficiency.html

You can find the input and output files at /gpfs02/eic/youqi/pfRICH/standaloneSimu/pfRICH.
