Dear Colleagues

Alexandr prepared minutes and sent them via Mattermost. I'm attaching them below and including a task for David:

To Do list from meeting 01.03.2024

  1. 1. Task for Subhadip - Parameters change distance and run position resolution study (ask Sasha)

https://github.com/eic/EICrecon/blob/main/src/detectors/EHCAL/EHCAL.cc#L78, seed (energy deposit) - ask Dmitry Kalinkin about parameters change and what are the truth clustering

  1. 2. Task for Sasha - with hcal only design - 20x20 cm tiles, 1 GeV neutrons, 0.5 GeV neutrons. Change target points to equally space in x-y

3. Make sure the ML code runs (test with LFHCAL test sample) and then test with nHCal (+EMcal) data. Get help from Daniel-Han and LFHCAL group. Present first work in progress next week.

Best regards, Leszek

Dear Colleagues

We are going to have DSC meeting this Friday at 0900h. Please find the link below:

The plan for the meeting is to discuss updates:

1. Position resolution study - next steps and make sure it's all clear. Make quick progress towards finalizing the task.
2. Clustering - is there any progress? We should get this going with help from experts.
3. Machine learning shower reconstruction. Is there any progress or problems?
4. I plan to present an update at the calorimetry meeting to talk about design ideas.

I think we should start making regular updates every 2 weeks at least to make it productive. Remember that we can also communicate via e-mail or Mattermost.

Best regards, Leszek
