Dear Colleagues

I forgot to add the link to muon detection study with LFHCAL:

Dear Colleagues

We had a discussion on a few topics today:

1. Alexander is looking into small rotation issue of the detector. It's rotated around z-axis by ~5-6 degrees.
2. We need to set up a code for the optimization of geometry, that can be rerun easily for different geometry configurations and produce the quantities that we need to optimize: neutron detection efficiency, muon detection efficiency, etc
3. For next meeting , please think about how you want to contribute
4. We are planning to advertise the detector at conferences and emphasise unique kinematics . Pleas tak a look at Subhadip's abstract:

5. We already have codes, for PYTHIA8 to produce HepMC3 file and plug it in to npsim and eicrecon. Please have a look below. We can use it to run our own simulation for quick tests of geometry. With PYTHIA8 config files it should be easy to switch to a different process.

Selection of diffractive events in PYTHIA8:

Dear Colleagues

We are going to have a backward HCal DSC meeting tomorrow at 1400h:

The plan is to have a follow up discussion from the last meeting and decide how to make it happen.

Another thing that I always had in the back of my mind was to start a good advertising effort at conferences. Subhadip plans to submit an abstract for a poster/presentation at EPS-HEP conference. Please feel free to upload your abstract. I think this is a good opportunity to make it into a presentation and attract attention. I think it's clear that we are working on a detector connected to physics in an unique kinematic range. We could use Daniel's physics presentation as a guideline for that.

Best regards, Leszek
