Unless anybody else here knows differently, you could answer the reviewer by saying something like "We are in the procees of building a record for the nHCal and my proceedings are one building block."

Hello Everyone,

I have received some technical comments to revise my proceeding from the EPSHEP organizing committee.
Please have a look at the forwarded email below.
Regarding the more extensive description of nHCal, I am currently going with this DIS2024 proceeding on "Calorimetry for the ePIC Experiment" by Henry along with the preTDR.

https://pos.sissa.it/469/276

Please let me know if you know of any other sources that have a more extensive description of the nHCal.

Thanks and Regards,
Subhadip

Dear Subhadip Pal,
please revise your contribution PoS(EPS-HEP2025)501 (The Backward Hadronic Calorimeter (nHCal) of the ePIC Experiment at EIC) according to the following comments:

Just some suggestions:
Introduction: please add ref 3 (or similar) to first description of ePIC.
2.1: if possible add a reference to a more extensive description of nHCal.
Figures 3 and 4: there is enough space remaining to place them one below the other and make them bigger - like figure 5, if desired

Hi Sudhadip,

Thank you for producing an updated document. Just a few more comments:

  • Line 3 of section 2.1:  remove "non-magnetic" (not a requirement any longer)
  • Line 3 of section 3.2: "the target remains intact" --> "the incoming beam hadron remains intact" ("target" is an unclear concept for a collider experiment)
  • Line 5 of section 4.2: "Approximately 68%" --> "Approximately 70%" (68% sounds like a too precise number, let's be vaguer at this point. Also does "approximately" fit better to "70%" than to "68%")

Best,
Caroline

Dear Subhadip,

Please find some comments about your nice proceedings in this file:

Apart from a few language suggestions, I'd like to ask you to change "The current design" into " One possible design" (what we used to call "current design" is not up to date anymore. I may have been at the time of your talk.), and to add a reference to the vector meson internal note if possible (I see that you link another zenodo document).

I am not too familiar with the Publication Board rules of ePIC yet, but we have experts here on this mailing list (Brian, Daniel?). In addition to the DSC, which body has to sign off?

Best,
Caroline
