I agree with the comments about removing the FTE term.
I would propose the following changes that keep the spirit of what we wrote but avoid the FTE term:
Line 40: in units 41of full-time equivalent (FTE) per year -> delete and just add the word service before commitment
Line 47: Replace FTE with service
Line 49: Again, replace FTE with service
Line 69: Just remove the sentence, “In the current policy, the total contributed work from an institute must equal or exceed 0.2 FTE (averaged over a year) per group member in good standing.” I don’t think it is actually needed as they are already declaring what the service commitment is.
Line 80: Change “overall 0.2 FTE” to “overall service”
