I completely missed the time of the meeting, I assumed it was at 11AM, and attended another meeting until now, then I connected to the zoom and found no one :-( I am very sorry!!!

Please let me know what I can do.

I have been reading the comments people sent, it seems like everyone is annoyed to quantifying exactly the SW, which is a typical complaint we also get periodically at CLAS (more or less every year at the time to submit the Statements of Service). I guess it was the main subject of your discussions today, and I am not sure of what solution you came up with. We could either reduce the fraction of SW/person (would 0.15 FTE/person be less scary?) or not assign a fixed fraction. The latter option seems to me that would lead to abuses and make the reviewing process very hard. Coming up with different schemes depending on the size of the institution seems insane to me, and not really fair.

Bottom line, I am curious to hear what you guys came up with.

As you all have seen, we received about 7 responses on the membership policy draft (8 including an earlier email from Adam), and we should meet to discuss it on Thursday, April 18 at 10am EDT

We have collected the replies in a google doc (link in indico) to help with the discussion. We already have a few thoughts on our response, but we would like the committee to arrive to the meeting without our initial input (unless you want it! Please contact us privately if you wish to discuss beforehand).
