Dear eMC –

 

I am making progress on the updated policy, which requires a bit more thought than I realized, to replace “good standing” everywhere.  While replacing “member in good standing” with “author” is simple enough, I needed an equivalent formulation for institutions.  My proposal is replacing “institution in good standing” with “signing institution” (i.e. an institution which is eligible to be on the author list). 

 

Any objection to that?  And if not, could people have a look at the introduction to the preliminary version 1.0 (v1.0pre) to see if the new language works?
