Hi, plug-in folks

A reminder that the Level 1 (120 V outlet) charging stations require the permit available at the BERA store, as noted by Chris in the forwarded note below noting the store's hours.

Also, I'm not sure if people realize it, but there are small month-to-month variations in the pricing for the Level 2 charging, as detailed here:

(not a big deal, but just making sure people aren't surprised)

I'm aware that the ChargePoint station at the ISB (Bldg. 734) doesn't seem to recognize holding a smartphone nor a ChargePoint card in front of the station, but the station still fully works via the ChargePoint app. If anyone has any other feedback on the stations they would like to bring up, please share.

Another reminder is that from my understanding of the station device specs, if your vehicle is capable of charging faster than ~3 kW on Level 2, then it makes a difference whether someone else is charging at the same station as the device divides its ~6 kW of power between the two ports. In other words, it can be advantageous speed-wise for two vehicles to park at two different stations if available rather than use the two ports available at a single station.

The BERA Store is open Tuesday – Thursday from 11am-2pm for the purchasing of monthly permit for EV charging, which is required if anyone is using the charging stations. 

ChargePoint stations are also available by using their App.
