Description

Beginning on Sep 20th, 2022 epics-services2.nsls2.bnl.local will be briefly offline as it needs to be relocated to a different rack within the NSLS2 Data Center.

This server runs the EPICS services for SRX, XPD, and XFP. In addition, this server is the database backend for all beamline alarm servers.

During this move, the BEAST alarm server and its clients will be unavailable during the migration and for SRX, XPD and XFP epics services will be unavaliable.

Once the epics-services2 machine is relocated the alarm services should be back online.
BMM and CSX, who have migrated to Phoebus will not experience any disruption in the alarm server.

Beamlines are advised to put the alarm-server into "Maintenance Mode" to avoid unnecessary alarms during the downtime.

This change does not effect NSLS-II Accelerator systems.
