Time to Enter 2021 Performance Goals
The Laboratory's ePerformance system is now open for all non-bargaining unit employees to begin entering goals for fiscal year (FY) 2021.
Examples of performance goals include: a special project, a job function to improve or expand upon, a stretch assignment, or a new collaboration. A goal can build on a staff member's roles, responsibilities, accountabilities, and authorities (R2A2) but it should not simply restate contents of an R2A2. Employees should have two to five performance goals, including a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goal. Goals should be agreed upon by employees and their supervisor.
You should complete the goal setting process by Thursday, April 15. Before then, you and your supervisor should meet to discuss and agree to your performance goals. Ultimately, your supervisor has the final responsibility and accountability to approve goals and ensure that they are aligned with Lab and department needs and direction.
Entering Goals: To enter your goals into the ePerformance system follow the steps below,
1. Log in to PeopleSoft HR (located under the "Employee Resources" tab on the internal home page https://intranet.bnl.gov/).
2. Select Employee Self Service > Performance Management > My Performance Documents > Current Documents.
3. Click on the blue appraisal link under "Document Type" for the period end date 09/30/2020.
4. To begin entering goals, click on the plus sign in Section 1 next to Add Item.
Training: Stay tuned for announcements on dates and times for virtual goal setting workshops to support employees and supervisors preparing FY21 goals.
