Hi,

I think for distributed SW it is even better to have it after Apr 16th, we will have time to digest our discussion with Rucio on Apr 15th and final report for sPHENIX will be publicly available

Cheers, Alexei

We don't want to conflict with this so we need to bump our AI/ML meeting, to Apr 16 if no objection, so the distributed software tech meeting will get bumped in turn by a week or two. Apr 23 and 30 both look OK? Probably on the 9th we'll have a conventional group meeting starting at 10 and limited to 1hr.

"First results of the Fermilab muon g-2 experiment"

Presented by Vladimir Tishchenko, BNL

Friday, April 9, 2021, 11:00 am — Videoconference / Virtual Event (see link below)

Abstract: Nearly two decades ago, the Brookhaven muon g-2 experiment measured the muon magnetic anomaly to a precision of 540 ppb. The central value of the anomaly is more than three standard deviations away from the Standard Model prediction. Is it a sign of new physics or a fluctuation? To answer this, a new experiment has been developed at Fermilab which uses the Brookhaven storage ring with new muon beam and detectors. I will describe the experiment, data analysis emphasizing systematic accuracy, and present the first result which has precision slightly better than the Brookhaven measurement.
