Hi all,
A few comments on highlights documents. First of all thanks to everyone for doing a good job keeping them up to date. They are extremely useful to me (I hope in most cases to you also), and they can be a resource across the group for being aware of what your colleagues are up to. I think they are not much used in that way because still this week there were several without open read access (being corrected). Keep in mind they are there. The list of links is near the top of our NPPS meeting notes page. (The NPPS community extends well beyond NPPS members, so ‘open read access’ means really open, not restricted to only NPPS members.)
The content should, of course, be compatible with being public, and in the rare cases I’ve seen something that shouldn’t be on a public page I’ve pointed that out. As some have commented, not everything you might want to point to in highlights is public. Links to restricted material is fine, e.g. linking an ATLAS-only indico page, or linking to a restricted googledoc containing the protected details with the linked text in the highlights document itself generic enough to be public.
Questions and comments welcome.
Torre
