Dear Group Leaders,
We are organizing a workshop to explore collaboration with Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) in nuclear and particle physics research as well as STEM workforce development. It is open for registration.
https://www.bnl.gov/msiworkshop/
It is organized by the Nuclear and Particle Physics Directorate, together with the BNL DE&I Office. Through the joint proposals in responses to RENEW and FAIR, the traineeship programs and on-going collaborations, we are already working with a few MSIs. We expect faculty from some of those institutions will come, and we are reaching out to a wider MSI community to explore other opportunities. We hope the workshop will lead to further development. More detailed agenda for the workshop will be developed soon, as we learn more about the MSI participants.
Please let your colleagues in MSIs know this workshop, and encourage their participation. And let the organizing committee know if there is anything we can do to help.
Best regards,
Hong.
