Hi Torre,
Great! Thank you very much. We are at the stage looking for HEP collaborators to kick off the initial meeting. The idea is forming informally and there will be more brainstorming and co-design once we are all on board.
Look forward to hearing back soon.

Hi Wei,
I was on vacation, back today. I will be happy to circulate information to my group and discuss possible participation. Do you have a draft proposal?

Hi Torre,
Sorry to reach out again. I know you must be busy. May I have your opinion about joining the collaboration with Kitware? Do you have anyone to recommend?
The first deadline (8/27) is approaching. Really hope to have your feedback.
Thanks a lot. Appreciate your help.

Subject: SBIR collaboration with KitwareHi Torres,
Hope this email finds you well.
This is Wei, computational scientist from CDSD (the previous CSI). I am coordinating an SBIR proposal under the HEP program with Kitware for the following topic:
C59-29(b) ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE/MACHINE LEARNING FOR HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS
b. HEP AI/ML Visualization Tools – Description Software tools to improve visualization of scientific information natively integrated with both AI/ML and HEP software libraries. Applications submitted to this topic should focus on the ability to generate scientific publication quality plots of widely varying types of data and their associated uncertainties using a straightforward user interface; or develop visualization techniques to identify and display anomalous outcomes when comparing to reference data. Questions – Contact: Jeremy Love, Jeremy.Love AT science.doe.gov
When I discussed with Ray, he mentioned you might be interested. May I invite you or someone from your group to join the SBIR Phase I proposal? We are very interested in inviting HEP experts who are interested in both AI/ML and visualization.

The deadline for the letter of intent is Aug 27th.
Please let me know how you think. Thanks a lot.
