Hi all,

I want to give you a heads up on changes coming to the group. I’ve decided to retire at the end of the calendar year. I’ll be heading to Canada to the house where I grew up to help out my mother. There are very many details still to be worked out but this is the gist of it. I’ve discussed this with our management in recent days. I also told Hong my plan for a more immediate change that I think we have needed for some time: the NPPS group needs a deputy group leader. The leadership team works well to bring all our principal activities into the management of the group but it isn’t enough as the group continues to grow. Johannes is the person I have had in mind for some time for this role, and he hasn’t refused :-) This will also bring very many details still to be worked out. But everyone in the group should have early awareness of what’s in the works, hence this mail. Please feel free to talk to me about this, come by or we can arrange a zoom call. We can discuss all at the next group meeting on April 9. This is public news, you can share and discuss it as you like, internal and external to BNL.
