In connection with this, Ilija Vukotic just gave a very interesting presentation at the WLCG/HSF meeting. PanDA, Rucio etc should be starting plans to develop such services, towards realizing his 'wholesale solution' slides 21/22 (minus the suggestion that the AI proactively take actions like job resubmission, at least initially, it should at least pose a 'shall I do XXX' question).

Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly) the particular funding proto-opportunity that seeded my mail evaporated in a few days.

Hi all,
We were asked on very short notice to prepare a new-work proposal for a meeting with the lab director that's going on now to discuss potential new AI projects, for which there's potentially some funding available. After playing around with MCP and elements of the 'agentic ecosystem' recently, which made me a believer, I wrote this up (the slide linked from the googledoc below). Vetted by a few, thanks a lot for the input!

This is something for discussion, particularly in the unlikely event that the proposal gets accepted :-) Feel free to comment, on the slide or in the document, or here in email. The document is open to edit, feel free to turn it into an ideas whiteboard.

New AI ideas are always welcome, occasions like this regularly arise to make use of them!
