Please see the message that was shared with BNL postdocs regarding the upcoming Institutional Mentorship Program. Original lab-wide announcement can be found in yesterday’s Monday Memo.

You may support postdocs and other staff members professional development by encouraging them to enroll in this valuable initiative. Participation offers the opportunity to expand professional networks, gain insights and skills from experienced mentors, and build confidence navigating career planning.

Additionally, please consider joining the program as a mentor. Your involvement can make a significant difference in the growth of early-career scientists, while also offering benefits to you, including:

I am happy to share we’ve launched our official enrollment call for the Institutional Mentorship Program in yesterday’s Monday Memo. This program is open to staff at all career levels to support professional and technical skill development, connection, career planning and knowledge sharing.

Considering your ongoing postdoc position at BNL, participating in this program could enhance your overall learning experience. Here are a few key points to keep in mind before you enroll:

The program is slated to officially start in October.
It is a 6-month cohort commitment.
Your mentor should be someone who is not within your supervisory chain.
Discuss this opportunity with your supervisor, focusing on your goals and how a mentor can best align with them.
