Dear BNL Postdoc Supervisors,

 

The Office of Workforce Development & Science Education is hosting a virtual informational session today, October 21, at noon for postdocs and early career professionals who are interested in learning more about the Brookhaven Lab Research SLAM. Contestants of the SLAM competition are challenged to give a compelling three-minute presentation of their research appropriate for a general audience. Competition winners receive cash prizes, and one finalist will be chosen to represent Brookhaven Lab at the National Lab Research Slam competition in early 2026 on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., in front of congressional representatives. The event is a great career development opportunity for participants and provides visibility into different Brookhaven Lab scientific disciplines and research. We encourage you to share this information with your postdocs.
