Hi Gene,
I've added '4 months old' right up front too.

When I hear this statement I will point out that the 'hiccups' thus far have STAR internal origins and not anything coming from NPPS.

Slides 16 and 17 are important in pointing out NPPS's inherited responsibilities, and expertise, from STAR. I am keeping them and will clarify that.

Hi, Torre

Thanks for the slides. Some feedback...

I think we need to emphasize that the group has only been existence for 4 months, and as such, expectations on deliverables so far should be kept low (especially in a review that covers 3 years of work). It should be made clear that the return on investing in this idea of consolidating the computing needs some time to be realized. NPPS was sold on the concept that there could be some gain from the consolidation at minimal cost, and how *that* is proceeding should be the focus. So I think Slide 15 needs to be an emphatic part of the presentation.

In that vein, I think it's not in our interest to list accomplishments that NPPS people have helped deliver from before their time in NPPS. Listing expertise and plans, like with the technical teams, is fine. And the weekly meetings are generating some cross-expertiment discussion that represents one of the goals of the group. And it's okay to state that the team members continue to deliver on things for their experiments (though we know this has already had some hiccups for a couple of the STAR personnel). So slides 16 and 17 are probably best replaced with a single statement on having the STAR members continue to deliver for STAR as they have previously, while involving them in the weekly discussions and technical teams to move forward towards NPPS's additional goals.

Hope that helps,
-Gene

In slide 8 you mention 3-5 FTE for NPPS. I would leave this at 5 in line with our manpower requests you show on your slide 20
