Hi Alexander,
A very interesting and concerning perspective! And we leave the door wide open to that happening at BNL if we continue to be so far behind in software effort level. I won't put anything in my slides on this but I think it's an important point to bring up in the discussion.

I've added a cross-experiment activity slide.

   Torre,

slides look good to me. You may want to mention your eRD20 co-convenership,
in addition to EIC SWG, on slide 3 or slide 8.

One thing, which I do not know how to articulate better. It is more or
less clear to me that JLab strategy has changed since December last year.
They effectively got rid of the burden providing software framework
support for the YR studies, wisely using the existence of fun4all and
eicroot. This allows JLab to focus on the future. Once this current stage
in EIC project is over, and both fun4all and eicroot are phased out, we
may find ourselves in a situation where we do not belong to the mainstream
EIC software development. Toys like eicroot jana plugin do not count,
obviously. eic-smear will not survive against delphes (and fast mode of
G4). And whether we like it or not, centrally supported projects like
dd4hep and acts will wipe out the competition in their areas. My 2 cents.

   Cheers,
     Alexander.
