Subject: Job Announcement - HEP Search for Program Manager for Data Analytics, Machine Learning and Computational HEP

Dear Colleagues,

The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of High Energy Physics (HEP) announces a search for a permanent program manager for Data Analytics, Machine Learning and Computational HEP. The Job Announcement is available at https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/588550700. All interested and qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

These positions are critically important to the stewardship of the national high energy physics program.  The successful candidate in this position will serve as a program manager and a scientific authority for high energy physics. They will have responsibility to prepare narrative portions of the Office's budget relating to high energy physics as well as to provide policy and scientific/technical advice and analysis relative to strategic planning in complex and evolving research areas, particularly as they relate to advanced computing. Additional information about the DOE High Energy Physics program is available at https://science.osti.gov/hep.

Per DOE hiring practice, the announcement will only be open for a very short time, so timely identification of possible candidates and submission of applications is critical. The U.S. Department of Energy fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Additional requirements and further information about this position are available in the official posting. Questions about application submission and the federal hiring process should be directed to Ms. Patricia Bennett at patricia.bennett AT hc.doe.gov. Questions about the HEP office and this position should be directed to Dr. Glen Crawford, Director, DOE HEP Research and Technology Division, at glen.crawford AT science.doe.gov.

Best regards,

Glen Crawford

U.S. Department of Energy

Director, Research and Technology Division

Office of High Energy Physics
