Dear David,
I’m happy to inform you that the DESC Operations Committee has followed the recommendation of the interview committee and has voted to use DESC Operations funds to support you at 50% time in the Computing Infrastructure role of Workflow Architect for DM Processing in DESC, starting as soon as possible. The initial term would be one year, with extension to three years planned if it is mutually agreed that things are going well. I apologize for how long the process has taken - we got slowed down by a number of factors. I sincerely hope that you are still available and interested. We’ll be excited to have you on the Operations team. The funding would be arranged as an MPO between SLAC and NOIRLab; Heather and I will need to be back in touch regarding the paperwork.
