Hi,

For your info and comments. It generally seems pretty reasonable to me, although

• the compressed and core work variants are interesting, but I’d have a hard time accepting that a person X is not available for a regular 3pm Monday meeting because they are finished work at 3pm or they don’t work on Mondays, for example

• item 2 about underperformers during covid I find a little odd, because it’s missing the obvious option, to not agree to telework (I don’t think NPPS has any such cases though)

Dear Physics Department Supervisors,

 

Our team has put together guidance for supervisors throughout the NPP Directorate who will be evaluating telework and remote work requests. We hope this will be helpful. This guidance is meant to be practical and help ensure equity and consistency in the implementation of the Lab’s teleworking policy. We have drafted this guidance after consultation with leaders throughout both C-A and Physics. Please review the attachment and feel free to respond with any questions and/or feedback.
