On behalf of Hong Ma:

To All Physics Department Staff:

Now is the time for supervisors to consider recognizing employees who could be eligible to receive a Spotlight Award for extraordinary contributions.  THE DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE SECOND QUARTER OF THIS FISCAL YEAR IS FRIDAY, APRIL 29.

The Recognition and Rewards Program, including nominations for Spotlight Awards, is now an automated process in PeopleSoft HR under Recognition and Rewards, then click on Thanks!  If you are not a supervisor but wish to nominate an employee, please discuss your nomination with the employee’s supervisor.  Then, the supervisor will need to submit the nomination in PeopleSoft.  For detailed instructions and more information, see the Recognition and Rewards Users Guide:   Recognition and Rewards (bnl.gov)

In addition to the nomination form being automated, supervisors will now be able to print the Spotlight Award Certificate directly from PeopleSoft before notifying the awardee.  Also, those who receive a Spotlight Award will receive their award directly in their paycheck instead of being given a separate check.

If you have any questions, more information is available in the Recognition and Reward Programs section of SBMS (login required) or please contact Christel Colon, ccolon AT bnl.gov, Human Resources Manager for NPP.
