Hello, NPPS PanDA circle :-)
Following up on the good news of Zhaoyu Yang joining us (as of yesterday), she will be ramping up on PanDA, with initially a particular focus on the monitor and specifically a UI wish list we asked for and recently received from Rubin. But of course, improvements for one very often are beneficial to others as well and we’ll aim for this. Others will soon be joining us as well (some of whom like Wen need no introduction to PanDA, but can help in what I’m asking here), and of course we have experiments new to PanDA delving into it, so it’s a good time and opportunity to be systematic in developing onboarding and startup materials as a complement and (im)proving ground for the existing documentation. To this end there is, of course, a googledoc
https://docs.google.com/document/d/128jruvxIFxcvT4J3hLasB1qpTlp1B-6D1XNW6-yYasE/edit?usp=sharing
and I ask everyone to help start populating. I’ve asked Shuwei as a BNL local (as is Zhaoyu) familiar with both Rubin and ATLAS to take a particular lead (with me piggybacking) in helping Zhaoyu come up to speed. But this will be an ongoing theme, so all can help.
And, not least, welcome Zhaoyu! And we look forward to welcoming Wen to NPPS soon!
Carlene and I are also assembling a more general NPPS onboarding guide.
