Dear Cia and Torre,
I am writing to announce my resignation from postdoctoral research associate at BNL, effective June 14th, 2024.
I have recently been offered a new opportunity that aligns perfectly with my career goals, and after much consideration, I have decided to accept this new position. I want to express my deepest gratitude for the wonderful experience I have had working with you both and the rest of the NPPS group. The support and guidance I have received during my time here have been invaluable and have contributed significantly to my professional and personal growth.
As I prepare to transition out of my role, I would appreciate your guidance on the necessary paperwork and any other procedures required to ensure a smooth and orderly departure. I am committed to assisting in the transition process, including handing over my responsibilities and training a replacement if needed. I have already discussed with Torre that I will be able to continue working on the HSF conditions DB for a few hours per week in my new position. This will help getting a potential successor up-to-speed even after my departure.
Thank you once again for the opportunity to be a part of the NPPS group. I look forward to staying in touch, and I hope our paths cross again in the future.
Best regards,
Lino
