             DOE ASCR recently issued a NOFO for “Exploratory Research for Extreme-Scale Science”. (DE-FOA-0003545)

             The main topics are:

 

A) Quantum computation based on topological concepts 

B) Local and Campus-Area Quantum Networking for Next Generation Parallel Quantum Computing 

C) Neuromorphic Computing 

D) Computational Physical Systems 

E) Deep Understanding of AI Models

 

               An informational webinar will be held on Monday, February 2nd, 3-4 PM Eastern.  Click here to register.

          

                At BNL, the proposal preparation is led by CDS and DT, and this email describes the internal BNL process, Please be aware of this opportunity,  especially in collaboration with those in CDS and DT.

If you are interested in pursuing an EXPRESS: 2025 Exploratory Research for Extreme-Scale Science proposal (DE-FOA-0003545), Computing and Data Sciences (CDS) and Discovery Technologies (DT) directorates will be overseeing internal reviews as part of a Lab-wide down selection process. To submit your project idea, please use the attached pre-proposal form (Word or LaTeX options included). All submissions will be evaluated by review committees related to each topic area to determine what efforts should proceed for pre-application consideration.

 

Please complete your internal pre-proposal form and submit it to the CDS Proposal Team via email at CDSProposals AT bnl.gov on or before Wednesday, Feb. 05, 2025 by 5 PM (Eastern).
