Description:
The SDCC is making plans for the expected arrival of Hurricane
Henri to the Long Island area. Based on our experience with
Irene (2011), Sandy (2012) and Nemo (2013), we plan to continue
operating normally through the storm. Most of equipment at the
SDCC has power back-up (UPS, FlyWheel, generator and combinations
thereof), and is additionally protected by a temperature-based
(graceful) shutdown mechanism, independent of WAN connectivity
to/from BNL.

SDCC staff will be on stand-by to insure service continuity and to react 
to storm-related interruptions as needed. If you have specific concerns,
please bring it to the attention of your SDCC liaison at your earliest
convenience.
