Hi all,

The notes from yesterday's meeting are at https://indico.bnl.gov/event/9089/attachments/29837/46558/notes.txt and bellow.

As usual, comments and corrections are welcome.

Update on occupancy studies

Slide 3:

Q: how do you define occupancy ?

A: fraction of fired strips per event

Q: which Pile-Up rate does this correspond to ?

A: 100kHz

Q: small impact of the pile-up is probably due to small time window (wrt e.g. TPC) Correct ?

A: yes.

Q: where does this time window (800ns) come from ?

A: some slides from Maxence and information from Irakli

C: would rather expect something of the order of O(10) times signal rise time.

A: will double-check. In any case that would only make the impact of the pile-up smaller.

Slide 5/6:

Q: do I read it correctly that the cluster size is smaller for the z layer with PU rather than w/o ?

A: yes. although this is likely only a fluctuation.

AOB:

Testbench:

Agreed that testbench Micromegas + SAMPA will be better setup at BNL than Saclay because sphenix DAQ is not really portable. Takao and Aiwu would work on this on the BNL side. Saclay will send a detector

Integration: waiting for drawings of the Micromegas tiles + FEE to start looking at integration with the TPC in more details
