Hi all,
following the discussion at today's meeting and the suggestion by Maxence to look at tracks that exit in the TPC GEMS, it turns out I have a plot illustrating this already.
See: https://indico.bnl.gov/event/9399/contributions/41425/attachments/30407/47645/talk.pdf slide 4 right plot (also attached)
This is the statistics we get in r,z plane for tracks that have hits in MVTX and INTT, with no micromegas requirement and a pT cut at 0.5 GeV/c
You can see that there is no entry in front of the GEM planes for r < 60cm
(In contrast you can compare to the plot on next slide, where Micromegas are required)
I think that what you see on the plot is a combination of dN/deta falling with eta, and the MVTX and INTT acceptance
Hugo
