The discussion today converged on trying to find a time/day that work for specific subprojects (e.g. distortions, alignment, etc.) and to try to spread these out throughout the week as much as possible so that we still have a daily meeting with which to touch base. The goal is to have focused days on each subproject and then maintain the Friday morning ET time slot to have a time where everyone can join, since that has the most availability for all. We also hope that everyone tries to still attend each meeting, even if just to passively listen, so that your expertise can still be used if needed.

For experts working on certain projects, please try to look at the poll and identify a day/time that works well for you and others who are working on a project and let me know what looks reasonable to you by the end of the day today. I will do the same and try to coordinate all of the days together.

Again, if you have not, please fill out the poll.

Hi all,

Thanks for the many people who filled out the poll already. Here's a quick reminder to try to fill it out before the 11 AM ET meeting today if you are interested, since we should discuss the poll results in the meeting today. There is (unsurprisingly) no universal time that works for everyone.

Here is an indico page for the meeting at 11 AM ET today.

Talk to you soon,

Joe

Subject: Poll for New Tracking Meeting Time

Hi all,

We discussed before the break that we may need to shift our daily tracking meeting time given the new semester. We should also find a time (at least once a week) that is more friendly to time zones in Asia, so that all can join on at least a weekly basis. Please fill out the poll below (assume the poll is in BNL time) and we'll plan to resume our tracking meetings at 11 AM ET on Monday January 6th until we converge on a new time (or times).

Joe
