Hi Nils, Very nice looking slides! Just a few comments - To expand on Christine's comment about DY below the J/Psi peak, I
know I have mentioned this as a possible work for the future but I
am less enthusiastic about it recently. One of the things you get
by going lower in mass is better statistics, but even above the
J/Psi with the running we are planning the limitation is the
systematic error in the ratio R_pA which is driven by the
<Ncoll> determination. That won't change as you go lower in
mass. In principle the background situation will improve if we
remove the piston, but I bet it will get worse again when we add a
realistic tracker (frames, etc.) You would get some additional
Q^2 reach but not much so that's not much help either. The bottom line is that IMHO it is best to emphasize we are
working with EPPS16 to quantify the effect of a comprehensive nPDF
program on our uncertainties - not just the DY (which is
important) but including other observables such as gamma+jet and
dijets. The goal is to get EPPS16 a set of pseudodata by the end
of the summer to look at the effect on multiple nPDFs of the
combined dataset. One other comment - it would be good to include a slide that
shows the nominal (notional?) sPHENIX 5-year run plan. I think the
STAR folks will be very interested in it as they haven't seen it,
and there were questions in Christine's PAC talks as well as the
AUM spin session, so it will likely come up again. John

Hi, Nils. Nice talk! I just have a few comments.
p. 14 – I would be cautious in talking about trying to reconstruct D-Y below the J/Psi mass. I expect this to be extremely challenging.
p. 15 – I wouldn’t say “test” DGLAP and BFKL evolution. Maybe “relate via” DGLAP and BFKL evolution.
p. 16 – Right now the text on the slide has the 1-10% for SIDIS transverse single-spin asymmetries mentioned right below the ~15% pi0 asymmetries. It would be nice to more clearly contrast the 1-10% for _all_ SIDIS asymmetries, including positive pions, with the up to 40% asymmetries seen for positive pions in p+p that are shown in the plot.

Hi Nils,
I just have one small comment. On page 21 I would additionally put the actual p_out distributions as a figure on this slide to give the current figure some context - that way the audience can have some sense as to where these Gaussian width points are coming from.
Good luck with your talk!
