I know some of us were working hard for the recent EIC-sPHENIX detector 
LOI, intensively using some of the packages supported by the BNL's EIC 
software group. I'd strongly recommend everyone to participate in the 
survey. It will take no more than a couple of minutes, but will help a 
lot the EIC software group in their plans to support the important 
packages used in our research.
Also you can leave comments with any specific clarification/request.

Dear Colleagues,

Apologies if you got this announcement twice, we are just trying to make 
sure most people get this so we are using more than one mailing list.

We are trying to improve the quality of support of the software packages 
used in EIC research which are hosted at BNL.

The starting point is to understand which packages are being actively 
used so we keep them going forward while retiring others.
This will allow us to improve our infrastructure effort which will 
eventually include continuous integration, testing and other tools.

Enclosed is the link to the initial survey containing simple yes/now 
questions regarding the package use, and two free-form comment fields in 
the end of the form, which will allow you to be more specific about the 
software versions of importance to you, and what we are currently missing.

You participation is very much appreciated, the survey will probably 
take 2 to 3 minutes.

If you do not use and/or do not plan on using a particular package, 
please be sure to click "no" since this is also important to know. To 
make this efficient, we are asking you to complete this before the long
