Hi Joe,

Under the R&D section I do have text:

“R&D for sPHENIX forward detectors leverages existing detectors and technologies combined with EIC R&D for a cost-effective investment that will yield a wealth of physics measurements. “

Did you have something more specific in mind?

John

Hi John,

As an extension to Sasha's good suggestion, you could also consider briefly mentioning the EIC related studies/work associated with sPHENIX. It's not clear to me that it absolutely should be included given the scope of the poster title... but I could imagine having just a small note about it at the end of the poster (or something like that) just for advertisement purposes.

Hi Sasha,

That’s a very good suggestion, and I want to focus on RHIC-specific measurements. I will look to add something like that in to the poster.

Hi John,

Just one general comment/suggestion. While the abstract mentions about a number of topics we are going to address with (s,f)PHENIX, the poster basically advertises only one topic - nPDF. If there is no space to include additional plots, probably it would worth at least making a list of other cold QCD studies we plan to do. Although spin measurements are generally considered as non-HI topic, with recent RHIC surprising pp vs pA A_N results, it may start attracting more attention to spin measurements from HI community. And this is really unique RHIC studies, which we just started in Run15.

Regards,

Sasha.

Dear sPHENIX Cold-QCD-l:

Attached to this email is a first draft of my QM2019 poster on “Cold QCD physics with sPHENIX and potential forward upgrades”.  If possible I would like to receive all comments and suggestions by Monday morning so I can get this printed before leaving for QM.

John
