Dear Cold QCD-ers,

As you might be aware, we'll have software and computing workfest on Jan 13-17 at BNL. Many experts in software and hardware are expected to be available during the workfest. So, it can be used as an engine to start and/or promote any simulation or analysis projects you may have in mind or in your to-do list. Also for newer collaborators it will be an ideal opportunity to get introduced to software and computing framework and activities within sPHENIX. I encourage everyone to participate if this fits your busy schedule. Also, please let us know if you want any particular discussion being organized or have any other suggestions for the workfest. Of course they may relate to any of our group activities - Cold QCD simulation/analysis topics, forward upgrade, simulation/analysis/physics for EIC-sPHENIX.

Hope to see many of you next month at BNL.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the doodle poll for our weeklong software and computing workfest at BNL.

Overall,  the week of January 13 emerged as the best choice. We'll start working on the agenda, which should encompass all aspects of our software and computing effort, shortly. Please let us know if you have any advice or suggestions for particular agenda items.
