Dear all,

Evan Croft is a University of Michigan undergraduate who worked with me this summer on PYTHIA simulations using PHENIX as well as sPHENIX kinematic cuts to determine the x distributions sampled by several polarized measurements or planned measurements. Specifically, he looked at direct photons for both PHENIX and sPHENIX, as well as open heavy flavor electrons and muons for PHENIX. He will be presenting a poster at DNP next week on his project. Note that no sPHENIX-internal resources were used, and it will not be a poster formally on behalf of sPHENIX. However, the work he performed could certainly be of interest to others in sPHENIX, and we may want to include some of these plots in official sPHENIX talks in the future, so I am circulating the documentation he prepared on his project.
