Hi sPHENIX simulations analyzers,
As discussed in the Simulations/Software and General Meetings, I will help Chris Pinkenburg coordinate the global priority order for our large, centrally-produced GEANT4 simulation samples.
Simulations in the production queue are currently tracked in an editable “live document” available here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dc-HX-Dd4acezxw0tRvvvf1Wq-4XGUBIRLYhJbRRdIY/edit?usp=sharing
I have added some instructions for how to request new samples, reproduced here:

I have added some instructions for how to request new samples, reproduced here:
To make a new request, add it to the bottom of the “Requested Samples” list below. Please specify as many details as possible, such as:
* Total sample size
* Generator & process: Pythia8 (which process & event filter), HIJING (collision species, b range), single particles (specific E or ET values, eta range, etc.), pre-generated truth events in HEPMC format, etc.
* Au+Au or p+Au embedding: none, HIJING Au+Au b = 0-6.8 fm (0-20%), b = 0-20 fm (0-100%), etc.
* Pileup level: top rate (e.g. 50MHz p+p), no or low-rate pileup, etc.
* Other details that may need special treatment, for example: z-vertex distribution, calorimeter noise levels / zero suppression, etc.
* A contact person for any followup questions
* Au+Au or p+Au embedding: none, HIJING Au+Au b = 0-6.8 fm (0-20%), b = 0-20 fm (0-100%), etc.

* 100k events, single electrons, E = 4 GeV, |eta| < 1.1. Embedding into b = 0-20 fm Au+Au HIJING, no pileup. Gaussian vertex distribution within |z| < 10cm. Contact person: dvp AT bnl.gov
