- Subject: [Sphenix-electronics-l] FNAL IDs for test beam
- Date: Fri, 15 Jan 2016 09:34:55 -0500
Several people have started to ask me about FNAL IDs for the test
beam work in April. Access to FNAL is easier then BNL. At the
gates, you simply need an valid government ID. When they ask you
where you are headed, just say you are going to the High Rise. Full instructions for getting an FNAL ID are located here: http://www-ppd.fnal.gov/ftbf/BeAUser/Page2.html The first 4 steps should be completed before you head to FNAL. Use the following information where requested on the application forms:
There are additional restrictions for non-US citizens born in or associated with Syria, Iran, Cuba or Sudan. Please contact me privately if this applies to you. Other non-US citizens simply need the appropriate documents as indicated on the application form. I will arrange for all onsite training as we get closer to the run, so there is no need for anyone to contact the training office at this point in time. In terms of housing there is a waiting list for on-site apartments and houses. Dorm rooms are available after April 7 with prices ranging from $18-$30 per night depending on the room. Contact FNAL housing directly to reserve on-site housing: http://fess.fnal.gov/pic/index.html. A list of local offsite hotels can be found here: http://ppd.fnal.gov/ftbf/housing.html Eric -- Eric J.
