Dear Ron, Eric (and all),

my understanding is that we are talking about different
devices serving different purposes. The Colorado device - as
far as I know - is a genuine "tile mapper", measuring the
response as a function of where the light was produced (and
served for instance to optimize the path of the lightguide).

The device Debrecen was asked to look into is what
I would call a "tile tester", a QA device to be used at the
factory, that would take the tiles just manufactured, run
overnight with cosmics (and maybe with LEDs the same way as
in the calibration system) - then based on their average
response whether the tile is acceptable for delivery or not.

Ron-

This is suppose to be electronics that can be used at Uniplast to Q/A the
tiles before shipping to the U.S. using cosmic rays.  There was some
discussion of it at different stages during the beam test, mostly lead by
Edward.  If you want to put up a few slides about the Colorado stand that
would be fine.

Hi Eric, All,
What kind of Tile Mapper is this?  Is it similar to what we have in
Colorado or something different?

Folks-

The Ides of March are here, so it is time for the next
bi-weekly
calorimeter electronics meeting this Wednesday,
15-Mar-2017 @ 1330 EDT
(1930 UTC- for those outside the US, we fell forward this
past weekend
to daylight savings time).

For the meeting, I would like to get a quick update on
digitizer status
(Nevis/BN) and also have a discussion of the HCal
TileMapper (BNL/Debrecen)

Details of the meeting can be found on the indico webpage:
https://indico.bnl.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=2946

We will adjourn promptly at 1530 EDT in anticipation of
joining the
always scintillating HCal meeting.

Eric
