Hi, Eric,

few things, mostly typos

sl 2 ">" "100K" (looks ugly that the number is in the next line)

sl 3 "cham" -> "charm"
"higher quark-jet fraction at RHIC" doesn't make enough sense
unless you add "than at LHC" (and maybe the corresponding
plot for LHC could be added?)

sl 4 "Calorimetery" -> "Calorimetry"
"ofHadronic" -> "of Hadronic"
"flavour" -> "flavor" (we are in the US...)
Personally, I think tracking is not only "essential
for heavy flavor", but also for jets (particularly
in light of the low granularity)

sl 6 "scinitillating" -> "scintillating"
"boundries" -> "boundaries"
the bottom right picture is confusing w/o a caption

sl 8 "with the outer serving as the flus return" ->
"with the outer also serving as the flux return"
(this is the second time - first on sl 5 - when the
audience might think all the HCal does is return
the flux :-)
"wave-shifting" -> "wavelength-shifting"
"each tile is readout" -> "each tile os read out"

sl 9 "Signal... are passively" -> "Signals... are passively"
"azsembly" -> "assembly"

sl 10 "were measure in" -> "were measured in"
"senative" -> "sensitive"
right figure captions overlapping

sl 11 (200 -> see Craig's correction)
"Atomaki" -> "Atomki"

sl 12 "Temperature variation can form" awkward, I think
what you mean is "Temperature variations can be caused
by" or "can come from"

sl 14 "resultin" -> "result in"
"64 devices" maybe "64 SiPMs" is clearer

sl 15 "Vop" -> "V_{op}" (four times)
"constriction" -> "construction"
maybe here it would be appropriate to give a typical
slope (how sensitive we are to variation in V_op)
and also a thermal coefficient

sl 17 "adjust" -> "adjustment"

Tomorrow, Thurs Oct 12, 2017, afternoon I am giving a talk at CPAD 2017 about the challenges of using SiPMs in a large scale deployment.  This is a  group that is primarily HEP focused on future R&D for HEP. Since they know little of sPHENIX or Heavy Ion physics, I have a very brief physics motivation and introduction to sPHENIX.  Total talk time is 25 minutes (including discussion).

My talk can be found here; https://www.phenix.bnl.gov/phenix/WWW/publish/mannel/papers/y2017/CPAD_2017-EJM.pptx

Comments/suggestion are welcome

Eric
