Folks-
There has been a call by sPHENIX collaboration management for QM-18 abstracts.
We had a short discussion during the HCal meeting this afternoon and there was strong support for an abstract on SiPM neutron damage and testing. There was also discussion about poster abstracts for front end electronics and/or the digitizer system.
I think it would be good idea for an abstract to be submitted on the SiPM radiation studies and testing plans, and encourage the groups involved in that effort to prepare one or more abstracts for consideration. Not so clear to me is if there have been significant advances in the front end/digitizer electronics since QM17/IEEE NSS-MIC 2017 for an abstract on those topic, but if someone is interested in doing so, they should feel free to prepare one for consideration.
In the HCal group over the last few months there has been an lot of development in electronics for tile testing. While this is a crossover between electronics and calorimetry, I would encourage the leading members of this effort to consider possible abstracts for consideration.
In all probability, I have missed some aspect of the calorimeter electronics that deserves a talk/poster session at QM18. So if you have some calorimeter electronics related topic that you would like to be considered for QM18, please feel free to submit it to the collaboration for consideration.
