sPHENIX EMCal discussion

        Dear all,
         In preparation for the November Cost and Schedule review,
        we are scheduling walk-throughs of the plenary talks and
        associated discussion of the parallel session talks.
        We will hold the first practice next Thursday, September 24,
        starting at 9:30 EDT in room 2-219 of the BNL Physics Building.
        The first walk-through will focus on the plenary
        talks for the EMCal and HCal.  I request that all
        potential speakers for the Cost and Schedule review
        calorimetry breakout session  also attend next Thursday, or
        call in.

        I have attached a talk template plus other review information
        to this e-mail. Anne and John should use the talk template
        to generate a draft talk for Sept 24, with the understanding
        that some of the content, especially for the simulations and
        project information, are not yet available. There will not
        be a separate plenary talk on the calorimeter electronics so
        we should plan for that information to be included in Anne's
        EMCal talk. John's HCal talk will need to include both the
        Inner and Outer HCal plus the mechanical structural aspects
        of the HCal.

        Eventually I want to meet with all of the plenary speakers
        in groups organized around the 4 breakout sessions
        and go over the plan for the plenary talks. The actual dress
        rehearsals, or dry runs, of all the plenary talks will be
        scheduled for the week of Oct 26.
        There is a lot to talk about concerning what is to go into
        each of the plenary presentations, and I would like the plenary
        speakers to think about that so that we can discuss it
        at these practice sessions.
