I forgot to add that the prdf for these data are here:

/sphenix/data/data01/t1044-2016a/cosmics/cosmics_00001563-0000.prdf*

I use a root file in /sphenix/data/data01/t1044-2016a/wd40/root/cosmics_00001563-0000.root but that's not Halal.

Dear EMCAL aficionados,

I'm not sure how visible to the collaboration is all the work by Anne,
Vera, Eric and others at Illinois, Craig, Sean, Bill Lenz and other at
BNL on the detector, and by Steve and Sal on the electronics, and by
many others, but the project is coming together very well for the
upcoming beam test. We have been running the HCAL's for a couple weeks
in the Physics high bay, and now the EMCAL has joined the party.

It may not look impressive right now:

but we were able to take cosmics with the majority of the calorimeter
assembled, and here are the ADC distributions (organized, I think,
looking downstream at the detector):

(The trigger counters are smaller than the calorimeter so don't worry
about the edges.) I extracted temperatures from the controller from
last night and this morning in case you're interested in the
micro-climate under that blanket:

Congratulations to everyone involved as we move forward to the beam test!
